The collection and use of personal information by Overwatch is regulated by the New Zealand Privacy Act 1993. Under this Act, personal information may be collected only for a lawful purpose connected with a function or activity of Overwatch and only if necessary for that purpose. Such information must, as a general rule, be collected directly from the individual concerned and that person must be told why the information is needed.

Overwatch will use personal information provided by website visitors only for the reasons it was given. Overwatch will not share personal information with any third parties unless written permission is given by the website visitor concerned.

Overwatch also complies with EU Law as laid out in the GDPR regarding access of EU member citizens to our website including subscribing to our content and requesting marketing material and other downloads.

Overwatch collects basic personal information about you in order for us to be able to provide you with information – you have indicated on our website that you are happy for Overwatch to be able to collect and store this information. The information that you provide will be stored securely and will be transmitted to our Head Office in New Zealand. We will hold your information for the purposes set out below until you indicate (by unsubscribing) that you no longer wish to receive communications from us.

The information that we collect from you is basic information (such as your name, email address, other contact details and any other information that you expressly provide) and we collect this information from you when you enter this information through our website. We do not ask for sensitive information or hold such information on file.

We also collect non-personal information (i.e. we cannot identify you from this information) through the following means:

  1. Cookies. We use cookies on our website to tailor and personalise the content presented to you and to develop our website to better suit our customer’s needs.
  2. Google Analytics – Our website uses Google Analytics to monitor traffic through our websites. The information that google analytics collects is non-personal in nature (i.e. we cannot identify you from this information)

You have the right to request access and a copy of the data we hold about you and the right to require that incorrect information be rectified. You also have the right to request that the information that we hold about you is deleted and to restrict or object to Overwatch’s processing of your information.
